The powerPACK and powerPACK 2 are containers made to insert four (4) AA batteries (Alkaline or NiMH) and use as a backup for the rechargeable battery packs. Both of these containers have internal circuitry that prevents them from charging while they are installed in the identiFINDER.

The powerPACK plus, ultra, and ultra 2 are rechargeable self-contained battery packs. Over time, these packs will lose their ability to maintain a charge and will need to be replaced.
