Sensor Tech Radiation Pager

The Radiation Pager continuously monitors for radiation. The pager has a flashing LED indicator and either an audible or vibration alert. When batteries are low, the instrument will “chirp.”

The table below indicates the display levels and their approximate dose rate measurements. The PRD will alert the user starting at a level 2. A level 9 on the display occurs at or above a radiation dose rate of 38 μSv per hour or greater; this is the upper measurement limit of the instrument. The FLO should back up until the detector reads an 8 or less. Depending on site operating procedures, different safety limits may be enforced (e.g., 6 or less).
