RPM AC Line Filter Replacement

Use orange safety (traffic control) cones to setup barriers. Practice established safety protocols. 

Open all doors needed to access components.

The AC circuit breaker is located at the bottom of the control pillar.

There are two types of AC circuit breakers:

There should be no lit LEDs when the breaker is switched to OFF.

Using a digital multimeter, place the negative (-) lead on the mounting screw with the ground wire (green).

Using a digital multimeter, place the positive (+) lead on each of the mounting screws with the black wire. 

Using a digital multimeter, place the positive (+) lead on each of the mounting screws with the white wire.

Using a small Phillips screwdriver, disconnect all the wires attached to the AC line filter.

Remove two M4 mounting screws and washers. Retain hardware.

Use tag or tape. Include date of removal, description of failure symptoms, country, site, and lane number. Dispose per Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD) guidance or contractual requirements.

Reuse retained M4 screws and internal washers. Remember to mount the ground wire (green) under the M4 screw.

Make sure the load wire (+) is accross from the line wire (+).

Black in line with black.

White in line with white. 

Voltage should be present at both the input and output. 110-240 VAC will be present depending on country of installation. 

Move LD-260 switch to ON position. The LED PWR ON will illuminate.

RPM will perform a power on self-test (POST) and collect a background radiation measurement.

Record observations, times, and results for the maintenance report.
