PackEye Refurbish Power Supply

Press and hold the power button for approximately 10 seconds until indicator lights are off.

Shoulder straps should be facing down.

The distribution box is usually located in the top of the backpack.

Rotate the collar counterclockwise and pull straight out. The battery cable can be identified by the two (2) interior prongs. Pliers may be needed.

Use small, slotted screwdriver.

Note location of wire ties for reassembly. Use wire cutter or scissors.

There are Velcro strips securing the power supply module to the FHT 681 amplifier. A slotted screwdriver might be needed to pry them apart.

Use T-10 Torx screwdriver. Remove the screws only on the side where the power cables are located.

Use wire cutters.

Set aside to reuse on new battery.

Align the new battery on the circuit board. Verify wiring connectors are in the correct position.

Use two (2) wire ties. Cut excess wire tie.

If the old pad is not reusable, it is recommended to use a new piece.

The existing connector might need to be removed. Make sure enough wire is available to reach the circuit board terminals.

Use wire crimpers to attach insulated female spade quick connectors.

The ground wire (usually black) must be connected to the terminal closest to the edge of the board.

Align circuit board with third slot from bottom of enclosure and slide into place.

Verify gasket is aligned between housing and end panel before inserting screws.

Use T-10 Torx screwdriver.

The module will snap into place.

Align the connector and push in. Rotate collar clockwise and hand-tighten.

If desired, install new wire ties and cut off excess.

Use small, slotted screwdriver to secure connector.

CHARGE (yellow) and READY (green) LEDs will be illuminated.

It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Only the green READY LED will be lit.
